Lying is all the rage these days, but hasn’t it always been popular? Join internationally acclaimed entertainer Mark Nadler as he sings, plays piano and tap dances around the truth. Stephen Holden of the New York Times has hailed Nadler as “Mr. Show Business …a comic spark plug touched with brilliance” — and that’s the truth!
The Cabaret Series, an ongoing tradition at Neue Galerie New York, is a union of modern Austrian cuisine with classic European music and performance. The Spring 2019 program celebrates the style of Austrian and German Cabaret, bringing the genre into the modern era with a commitment to questioning social mores through humor, storytelling, and wit.
Enjoy a three-course, prix-fixe menu beginning at 7 p.m., followed by the performance at 9 p.m. in the intimate setting of Café Sabarsky. The room is exquisitely appointed with Wiener Werkstätte designs, including lighting fixtures by Josef Hoffmann, furniture by Adolf Loos, and a magnificent Bösendorfer grand piano.
