IRIS: a Celebration of The Divine Feminine

Join us for a consciousness-raising event created to celebrate the essence and embodiment of the Divine Feminine. We come together to express gratitude for the resurgence of the divine feminine energies being restored on the planet at this time.

This evening we will encapsulate three modalities of spiritual work brought forth by women who embody the expression of the divine feminine. These modalities include meditation, kundalini yoga, and teaching. The event opens with a guided meditation by Rock ‘n Roll Spiritual teacher Biet Simkin, followed with Kundalini Yoga by Yoga Journal Award winning Hari Kaur, and will close with a gripping teaching by Ali Storm.

Please note that no special clothing is required for the yoga segment.

Hari Kaur is the Director and Founder of Hari NYC – Kundalini Meditation and Jazz – Master Kundalini Teacher Hari Kaur was chosen by Yoga Journal as one of the TOP TEN Influencers of Yoga in the West, the only Kundalini Teacher in the group; as she is part of the honored teachers who pioneered teaching yoga in the West. Hari Kaur is a champion of Kundalini for uplifting women and embodying feminine energy and is co-author of “A Woman’s Book of Yoga: Embracing Our Natural Life Cycles” (Penguin 2002) and author of “A Woman’s Book of Meditation: Discovering the Power of a Peaceful Mind” (Penguin 2006).

Biet Simkin is the Founder of Center of the Cyclone, an immersive experience that weaves meditation, self inquiry, art, music and fashion, offering an explosive experience. She is inspired by the rare and almost impossible task of entering into the present moment and creates this experience globally. After 30 years of study in the field Biet’s feeling was that the world of the intellect, fashion and art needed spirituality, and the world of spirituality was often missing the mark and needed some vanity and fire. Colliding these two worlds Biet has created events with MoMA, Lululemon, SoulCycle, Summit Series, Vice, Free People, Sundance Film Festival, Bonnaroo Festival, Soho House, Mind Body Green, 1 Hotels, Neuehouse, Wanderlust Festival, Adidas, Samsung, Sony and more. Biet has a new book out about the laws of meditation entitled Don’t Just Sit There!

Ali Storm had a highly successful 13-year corporate career in the fashion industry working for industry leaders, including Liz Claiborne Corporate and Guess Inc. In late November of 2012, Ali had an unexpected and spontaneous spiritual experience, which left her with an energetic gift and a profound revelation that she had another calling. On 12/12/12, she experienced what is traditionally referred to as a “kundalini awakening,” which released a vibrantly joyous and blissful energy into her. Through this energetic experience, she entered into a vision of a new world in which humankind would undergo a fundamental shift in consciousness. This became her passion, purpose, and reason for existence.
 Today, Ali Storm conducts events nationally bringing her energetic gifts as an intuitive/medium to others. Ali resides in New York City and Rhinebeck, NY where she maintains a private practice as an Intuitive, Writer, and Kundalini Yoga Teacher.

Ali is working to share the truth with women, that they are more powerful then their human minds can fathom. Her mission is to support the restoration of the feminine qualities of empathy, compassion, kindness, and intuitive knowing, and wants to contribute her share in any way possible to see that happen in her lifetime.
