Become part of a distinguished New York based international network while promoting transatlantic relations. The Quadrille, a fundraiser for student exchange between the U.S. and Germany, is inviting young professionals to be part of the Quadrille Ball 2019. Every year, young volunteers from diverse professional and national backgrounds between the ages of 21 and 30 perform the Quadrille, a square dance of French origin from the early 19th century, at this German-American Ball. The 59th Quadrille Ball will take place on January 26, 2019. Prospective 2019 dancers will be invited to a reception in mid-October.

Since 1961, the Quadrille and its umbrella organization the Germanistic Society of America have awarded scholarships to approximately 600 outstanding American and German students. Through their commitment to learn and perform the dance, the Quadrille dancers contribute to the charitable cause. They also join a very international and close-knit network of current and former Quadrille dancers and have the opportunity to form lifelong friendships.  Volunteers do not need previous dance skills.
