Port of Entry: New York

3rd March 2020 @ 8:00 pm

Port of Entry: New York

Musicians from across the world, whom New York City has welcomed, explore their artistic dreams in a double feature concert at Carnegie Hall. The goal of the event is to give back artistically to this great cultural melting pot that has captured their hearts.

The first half of the concert features internationally acclaimed pianist Jasna Popovic, who studied in Munich, Germany at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, in collaboration with Composers Concordance, a presenting organization for contemporary music with a 35+ year history of producing concerts in NYC. They will perform contemporary works from a global array of composers who have dedicated their art to NYC.

The evening concludes with renowned Serbian Guitarist Nemanja Bogunovic, and his chamber ensemble, presenting music from his latest album “Bogunovic Plays Bogunovic – with Strings Attached”. Mr Bogunovic’s compositions will bring the audience on an emotional journey evoking a sense of cinema, reflecting the scent of the Mediterranean, pulses of Latin America, a touch of Asia, and elements of Serbian folklore.
