The Art of Distilling — Tour, Tasting, & Workshop @ Port Morris Distillery

Question: why is one distillery in the Bronx making a Puerto Rican spirit that’s illegal back home? Answer: because it’s delicious! Get ready to follow a master distiller through the process of (legally) creating Pitorro — a form of Moonshine native to the island — right here in NYC.

Join New York Adventure Club for a special tour, tasting, and workshop at Port Morris Distillery, a family-run business that’s been churning out tasteful spirits right here in NYC since 2010.

Led by co-owner Rafael Barbosa, our unique spirit experience will include:

• The origin story of Port Morris Distillery, which found its beginnings as a Puerto Rican family recipe made from apples, honey, and brown sugar
• A private walkthrough of the distillery to learn about the brewing, fermentation, and bottling processes
• A discussion around the aging process for their signature Anejo and Coquito, with special tastings at each station
• The chance to participate in a mini-workshop and create your own Pitorro infusion using fresh vegetables

Afterward, we’ll finish at the distillery’s bar and pass out goodie bags to take home!
