On Wednesday, June 5th, a group of AMD students studying at Berkeley College had the opportunity to visit FABSCRAP in Brooklyn and to experience the actual sorting/recycling process. Great efforts achieve great rewards! FABSCRAP is a nonprofit working with fashion brands in NYC to collect their discarded textiles, diverting them from landfill for reuse or recycling. FABSCRAP has diverted over 250,000 lbs of fabric and textiles from landfill to date and is working with more than 300 brands in NYC to recapture their fabric waste.
