Earth Day 2021 opens a window of opportunity to combat the planet’s mounting environmental crisis. Forty world leaders assemble to change the trajectory of our collective actions, with the trans-Atlantic partners demonstrating their commitment to creating a more sustainable future. But can they truly deliver – from their own communities to the global stage? Are their efforts supported across political party lines? What can the corporate sector, including the finance industry, as well as civil society, contribute? Are we ready to make full use of all available tools? And finally, what do we need to do to become more climate resilient and help the most vulnerable populations mitigate the effects of climate change?
