Performance of “Rumpelstilzchen” and an After-Show Workshop

Deutsches Haus at NYU presents a fairytale morning in collaboration with Galli Theater and a performance of “Rumpelstilzchen” followed by a workshop for the whole Family on January 26, 2020.
Deutsches Haus at NYU is delighted to present a fairytale morning in collaboration with Galli Theater. Please join us for this fun performance and after-show workshop for the whole family on Sunday, January 26. Galli Theater’s aim is to spread joy to the audience. Their fairytale productions are once humorous, exciting, and philosophical, but never grim. The actors encourage the children to come on stage and interact with them. Please note that this event will be held in German.
About the performance:
In “Rumpelstilzchen” a miller’s daughter promises her first born child to a creature by the name of Rumpelstilzchen in return for a favour. Years later this girl is now the Queen and the creature is holding her to her promise, unless she can guess his name.
About the After-Show Workshop:
Your children take the stage! In the 45 minute workshop your children will participate in warm up and drama games with one of Galli’s actors. They will then get to put on their own version of the show they have just seen.
