The Cakemaker at the Israel Film Center Festival

The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan has announced the complete lineup of the 6th annual Israel Film Center Festival celebrating the best new films from Israel’s blossoming film industry. Marking the 70th anniversary of Israel’s independence, the festival touts premieres from acclaimed directors who pioneered the film industry’s growth, as well as newcomers. The Israel Film Center is New York’s Leading Israeli Film Festival.
The festival includes the award winning co-production: THE CAKEMAKER
Dir. Raul Graizer, 95 min, Narrative
Thomas, a young German baker, is having an affair with Oren, a married Israeli man. When Oren dies, Thomas travels to Jerusalem. Under a new identity, Thomas begins to work for Anat, his lover’s widow, and finds himself involved in her life in a way he did not expect.
