The Peter G. Peterson Foundation is working to secure a healthy, growing economy by addressing America’s long-term fiscal challenges. Overview

PGPF offers an 8-12 week, full-time summer internship in its New York office. The internship is intended for students enrolled in graduate programs in public policy, though undergraduates in related disciplines may also apply.

Position Summary

Research interns provide analytical support to the Foundation’s overall operations. Depending on qualifications, experience, and interest, interns will participate in the following types of activities:

  • Ongoing tracking of current economic and legislative developments, news, and trends important to inform the work of the Foundation
  • Research and data analysis on relevant policy issues
  • Creation of Foundation-generated content for distribution through multiple channels (digital, print, video, appearances, etc.)

Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong research, analytical, writing, and organizational skills. Prior coursework in economics, finance, or public policy is required. All candidates should have a proven ability to translate complex information into clear and accessible language. Research interns must be able to work independently and collaboratively, and be able to juggle priorities in a fast-changing work environment.
