To commence the year with a diversity of architectural perspectives, Aesop recommends The Met symposium, ‘In Our Time: A Year of Architecture in a Day.’

Saturday, January 19th, 2019 – 10:30 A.M.–6:30 P.M.

From Aesop:

This illuminating event, organised by The Met’s architecture and design curator, Beatrice Galilee, draws together architects, artists, photographers, writers, and filmmakers, to reflect on the previous year’s most significant projects, from built structures to digital environments.

To mark our third year of support for the symposium, we have collaborated with filmmaker Pedro Kok to explore three distinct projects by architects featured in the event: an art museum nestled in the Swiss Alps, a chapel commissioned by the Vatican for the Venice Biennale, and a reflection on an architecture of the future. We invite you to attend or watch a live stream of The Met’s ‘In Our Time’ symposium from New York on Saturday, January 19 from 10.30am to 6.30pm Eastern Standard Time. (Free with Museum admission; advance registration is recommended).
