GAIN / DAAD are currently accepting applications for two summer internships at our New York office
- Starting May 15 to September 13, 2019
- Starting June 3 to August 30, 2019
The internships involve assisting with organizing the 19th Annual GAIN Conference of German Researchers – the largest forum for German PhD students, postdocs, and professors working in North America. A significant portion of the conference consists of a large career fair with over 60 exhibitors from all areas of the German research landscape.
Depending on the needs of the German Academic International Network (GAIN, www.gain-network.org), duties will entail a wide spectrum of tasks from helping with administrative matters to communication with clients, such as e.g. participant management and the planning of social media activities.
We are looking for applicants who
- Are fluent in German and English, native German speaker preferred
- Have an interest in higher education and science policy
- Like working in an office environment and are highly organized
Interns will receive a stipend of $750/month.

Mr. Fenner might be willing to change the start / end date of the internship for Hochschule Fresenius candidates if the qualifications are a good match. If you already possess strong skills in social media, or accounting, a later start could be compensated by a longer stay. Please make sure you highlight your skills in your application.
